For anyone who has decided to take Jesus Christ and the Bible seriously, it is essential that you not only get plugged in to God’s Word but also take it to heart.
The Church is the body of Christ and those in the Church are to be the image bearers of Christ. It is through the body of believers that the Kingdom of God will be advanced. That is why we plug in to the body of Christ, here in the local church. It is time that the Church began to live out the picture of servanthood that Christ painted for us. We believe that the best way to get plugged in to church is to immediately seek out ways to begin serving others. The great thing about being a part of the Church is that everyone is gifted and has a part to play. We have each been blessed with gifts and passions through the Holy Spirit in order to magnify and make Christ known. Everyone has something to offer within the body. We would love to help you discover the best way for you to use your gifts, talents, and passions to serve Him.
So many believers have become “Sunday Christians”. They go to church and pretend that God in not a part of their lives the rest of the week! God wants to use you in your every day life and in your community. Meet your neighbors and begin praying for them. Take time for the people you see day in and day out, whether at the gym, playing soccer, at work or hanging out at the park. As believers we are to be “Salt and Light” in this world. What good is light if it is not where it is supposed to be? What good is a electrical device if it is not plugged in? Right – it becomes a decoration. Don’t waste your life just being a decoration … get plugged in!
